He was still looking for a way to to talk to Potter when he saw Potter stalking out of the Great Hall, Draco almost jumped into his seat and rushed towards the door, Potter was almost out of the Hall when Draco whispered his name "Harry". He was caught off guard when Potter looked at him in surprise on the mention of his first name.
