Straight A* student, the class representative, model student and the best of the gym team. But she's got one weakness. And his name is Beck Jackson. Sweetest guy in school, most popular guy in school, head of the run and swim team, nice to everybody, A* student: they've been friends fro such a long time, but when it gets out that Hope is in love with Beck, he becomes so stubborn and oblivious. Hope can't contain herself then, and does so many reckless things; she might end up getting hurt- and on the wrong side of some people. Maybe even find out things she had forgotten - and wish she had never remembered. As more and more people enter her life, more and more situations she delves into. An old friend comes back, new friends are made and jealously rises over her. She makes choices that are bad which might make her career and friends just.... disappear. But now, someone better revive her, or she could find serious trouble. ...And trouble doesn't take long to be found.

This passage is actually my entry to the CBC First Page Challenge. The theme is to write the first page of a novel set 150 years in the future.

Nothing more than a ghost town. A perfect place for the government to initiate their ghastly plans. He seems like a mere human. A human that hunts other humans. Or maybe under all the 'skin' is nothing more that the robotic machine he is. What are these plans. What does the ghost town have to do with it? And why can't 304 forget that auburn bobbed hair. Her face, her skin, her everything. A bug. A bug that can make a murderous robot love. A possessive yandere robot loving a helpless human. What now humanity. I've already hacked you from your phone. Three teenagers are sent one day into the future, but something happens on the way and they end up in the year 2040...15 years into the future. How will they deal with what has happened?
