The story revolves around two young Africans, Moceba and Nathan. One is passionate about Africa and its epic stories, eager to learn more. The other, curious but still a novice, is slowly being carried away by this growing fascination. Together, they embark on a journey where every conversation becomes an open door to a forgotten world, where ancient epics resonate like echoes of the past. As the miles travel to an ancestor's home, stories blend into the road, slowly carving a common heritage. But at the end of their journey, what will they really discover? Simple knowledge or a buried truth that will bind them forever?

In "Ensure That the Desert Does Not Grow", the ninth volume of "The Right People" series, Tom and his companions are drawn into a widening circle of intrigue that spans Europe and Africa. Their journey leads them through covert encounters, political maneuvering, and personal entanglements, as they navigate worlds where idealism and ambition collide. Along the way, they facilitate a clandestine meeting between a British intelligence operative and a man intent on becoming the world's most powerful hashish trafficker. Later, they accompany Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi on a journey to Mali, where he seeks to broker peace between the Malian government and the tribes of the country's north. In Timbuktu, they meet President Moussa Traoré and representatives of the Tuareg and Fulbe and witness fragile attempts at reconciliation. Returning to Tripolis, Tom and his friends encounter Oliver Tambo, the exiled leader of the African National Congress and a group of South African freedom fighters, further drawing them into the currents of liberation movements and geopolitical struggle. Amid these events, the long‑standing love triangle between Tom, Nikos, and Sophia finally finds resolution as Sophia discovers new love with a Nubian named Maher. As always, this novel is a work of fiction. Although grounded in extensive historical research, all characters - including historical figures - and all events depicted in the story are entirely fictional. New chapters are published every Saturday.

Wegen der anhaltenden Dürre in der Sahelzone begleiten Tom, Nikos und die libysche Einsatzgruppe weiterhin Hilfsflüge in die Länder südlich der Sahara. Eine Mission, die Tom, Nikos und Sophia nach Europa führt, erscheint ihnen daher beinahe wie eine Urlaubsreise. In Paris übergeben sie dem Vorsitzenden der portugiesischen Sozialisten und in Südspanien einem portugiesischen Offizier größere Geldbeträge, die für den bevorstehenden Putsch gegen die faschistische Diktatur in Lissabon dringend benötigt werden. Auf der persönlichen Ebene zeichnet sich ein neues Drama ab, als sich Sophia in Björn verliebt und sich schwertut, sich zwischen ihm und ihrem Freund Maher zu entscheiden, der in Griechenland auf sie wartet. Angesichts der bevorstehenden Umbrüche in Äthiopien, Portugal, Niger, und nicht zuletzt in Griechenland und auf Zypern, kommen sie zu der Erkenntnis, dass nichts so bleibt, wie es ist.
