Liurnia's downfall was inevitable. Though no one knew, the gods harbored a plan. They gifted the people the Elden Rings and created demigods to protect and inherit them. It was only a matter of time before man and demon would seek to corrupt them, and the gods knew very well of the greed and hatred of man. Their gifts were the tools to Liurnia's destruction, and The Eternal Queen Marika would be their arbitor. Hey there! This is basically a cohesive telling of Elden Ring's confusingly complex lore. I wanted to understand the characters, their backstories, and how The Shattering came to be. However, I've found that it doesn't really exist in story format quite yet, so I wanted to take a stab at it. Note: I'm not an expert on Elden Ring lore by any means and it can be *quite* expansive and hotly debated lol I'm simply writing from what I've interpreted and how it all comes together in my notes. (Also, if it makes for a good story, I'll sacrifice some accuracy here and there). Enjoy, and please let me know how I'm doing!

Godwyn is slain. The Elden Ring is broken. Queen Marika is nowhere to be found. Left on their own, Queen Marika's offspring struggle to come together for the sake of the Lands-Between. Each has their own understanding of Marika's last wishes and must decide whether they should adhere to them or follow their own ambitions. Heavily drawing upon alchemy to fill in the lore, this Elden Ring Fanfiction takes the viewpoints of the mightiest demigods to explore one possibility of many for how the events of the Shattering could have transpired.

Bastard. Definition: An illegitimate child conceived before marriage or due too adultery by the husband or wife with another lover during the marriage. Bastards inherit nothing but the dirt from which they must crawl through because their parent couldn't control the lust within, making them sire a child. From birth Bastards are subjugated to all manners of restriction, discrimination and prejudice. If a bastard was spared the agony of living a mercy kill at birth would end them before they could even breath. Surely, a bastard couldn't earn the love of the people.........

Before the shattering and before the lands between have been ruined by disaster a unexpected friendship was kindled. Between Miquella the unalloyed, the empyrean daughter of queen marika the eternal and Y/n l/n a tarnished. The two of them had become close friends as children, and as Y/n got older Miquella had not and hence forth a promise was made between the two of them. To break Miquellas curse of eternal youth and be together. . But things are never as easy as they seem especially with the meddling of the lord of blood.
