You slowly creep closer and closer to an old, rugged white Raven. He sits perched on an old fence post, his dull white feathers bunched up and his eyes closed over. You gently outstretch a limb and poke the Raven, for you came here to hear a story. One this Raven was known for sharing. Nobody knew how old he truly was, but he claims to have lived since the humans existed. The Raven slowly turns to face you, his eyes flutter open and pierce you with their bright blue coloration. You can't help but gulp, curiosity and fear clouding your own gaze as you explain you're here for the story. The Raven slowly nods and unfurls his dull white wings.
"You're here for the story of man? Very well, allow me to explain.." The Raven slowly went on, his tone raspy and weak. "Over 6 centuries ago, there was a species that ruled the world. They were known as humans, they ruined and destroyed the planet. Covering the earth in their garbage and scraps. They didn't care for the well being of the planet, and their hunger for power and land only grew stronger. To the point where they wiped out species. Now, during that time, I remember seeing many many species travel to a safe place the earth had created for them. Even a few humans went with them, they were protected for the inevitable.." The Raven drew in a deep breath before continuing. "That's when it started, the great fall of humanity. Fires burned villages to the ground, tsunamis washed islands clean of humanity, hurricanes tore through the coasts, and that was the purge of humanity. Humans were gone, nothing but one massive ruined city left standing. To remind the existing humans of what their ancestors had done, the city served as a home for animals, and a warning to remaining humans."
"They began to disperse out along the newly formed world, and some extinct animals made their returns.. now that's the story you'll get from me. Go on, live your life, but do not forget the story, for I will only tell it once to every creature."
