Disclaimer: This short story is partially a figment of my imagination. I do not intend to hurt anybody's sentiments or feelings. My sole aim while writing this was to try to portray the feelings of guilt and sorrow ridden mother and her family. There are many strong characters and beautiful family members who probably don't get enough space in Ramayana. I hope people enjoy this and I'm extremely sorry if this hurts you. A Ramayana Retelling Sita walks back into Ayodhya not as a queen, but as a woman shaped by exile. Urmila counts the years in silence, her loyalty unacknowledged. Mandavi, always steady, finds her faith tested in a world that doesn't reward stillness. And Bharat-grief-stricken, duty-bound-must lead a kingdom while mourning a brother who was never truly gone. The Return is a reflective reimagining of the Ramayana, told not through battles and dharma, but through longing, loss, love, and quiet defiance. What does it mean to return-to a palace, to a relationship, to oneself-when everything familiar feels changed?

A humble attempt to better understand Shrutakirti, the youngest of the four Maithili sisters. She is one character from the Ramayana who remained behind the curtains for most of the show. Note: Since so less information is available on her, I will probably be forced to rely only on my imagination for the most part. I hope readers will forgive those deviations from the available texts!

In a world where two great kingdoms, Mithila and Ayodhya, share deep familial bonds, the destinies of two royal houses become intertwined. The kingdom of Mithila, ruled by the wise King Janaka and his brother Kushadhvaja, is home to the graceful daughters of Sunayana and Chandrabhaga. Draupadi, Seetha, and Urmila, daughters of King Janaka, are known for their wisdom, beauty, and strength. Meanwhile, Mandavi and Shrutakeerthi, daughters of Kushadhvaja, complement them with their grace and loyalty. In the neighboring kingdom of Ayodhya, King Dasharatha and his younger brother Pandu rule with honor. The sons of Kunti and Madri, the Pandavas, are legendary for their prowess in battle. Yudhishthira, Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula, and Sahadeva, each gifted with unique strengths, are pillars of the Kuru dynasty. The royal house of Dasharatha, too, boasts remarkable sons. Rama, the noble and just prince of Ayodhya, born to Kausalya, and Bharata, the devoted son of Kaikeyi, bring stability to the kingdom. Lakshmana and Shatrughna, the brave twins born to Sumitra, are inseparable companions of their elder brothers. The fates of these families become interwoven as they navigate the challenges of duty, love, and destiny. As Draupadi and Seetha, two women of extraordinary courage, form powerful alliances with the Pandavas and the sons of Dasharatha, their bonds transcend kingdoms and unite families. Together, they face adversities, support each other through trials, and strengthen the ties between Mithila and Ayodhya, forming a legacy that will echo throughout time. With love, war, and destiny at the heart of this tale, the daughters and sons of these two great dynasties must rise to meet their fates and shape the future of their world.

The breezes were fluid in their dances. Birds sang in their chime like voices, swelling at the glories of their Natha. The sun was never harsh in its sheen. The autumn sunshine that you'd bask in. The entire Prakriti would breathe the name of Rama. Slowly, like the greatest hymn it had ever known. Their SiyaRama were back. Finally. To @Ridhima123_ for this wonderful idea! --- No. If they were to cry, Rama would not. For he was like the moon to Lakshmana's sun. His anuj was bright and cheery, and it was his light that brought a glowing smile to Rama's face every day. What would he do now that he was gone?

So this is my first story on wattpad. I think there is a lot about how the lovely couples from ramayan stood strong during the toughest time and how their love remained unaffected. But we need more (infinite) fanfictions on their love before, during and after their marriage. So I present you all...random collection of one-shots, cute confessions, fights and just siblings teasing each other....in the form of a book with absolute no storyline... written by an author who never scored full in story-writing. After reading this you might wanna bang your brains out. DISCLAIMER:- This story is a complete work of fiction. It isn't meant to hurt anyone's religious beliefs. It includes romantic scenes, teasing and fictional parts for the sake of the story. So read only if you are comfortable. I believe that ingoring this story (if you aren't comfortable) is better than getting offended and leaving a hate comment. Suggestions and criticism are always welcome. Any similarities between someone else's work is purely coincidental. Plz inform me so I can give credit.( I mean I didn't copy but still... don't want any copyright strike or whatever it is) Forgive me for any spell error or grammatical mistake (I tried to translate hindi dialogues into english). Fair warning- really long chapters. Do vote and comment!!!! Cover credit: @mochis4lifeq52627
