Deux semaines ont passé depuis la mort de Lutsey, les cendres de sa perte restent présentes au sein des deux familles. Tandis que chacun essayent de gérer son deuil, à sa manière et se préparer à la menace de la RDA encore présente, une nouvelle fit son apparition par l'intermédiaire du clan des Mangkwan, le peuple des Cendres ayant rejeté Eywa. En plus de ce nouvel adversaire, chacun doit se confronter à ses démons intérieurs et une origine oubliée, refait surface. Face à ces multiples obstacles, les deux foyers n'ont jamais été si proche de l'embrasement et de la destruction.

Two weeks have passed since Lutsey's death, and the ashes of his loss still linger within both families. While each try to cope with their grief in their own way and prepare for the ever-present threat of the RDA, a new threat emerged through the Mangkwan clan, the Ash People who had rejected Eywa. In addition to this new adversary, each must confront their inner demons, and a forgotten origin resurfaces. Varang is the ruthless, fire-worshipping Olo'eykte (leader) of the Mangkwan clan in Avatar: Fire and Ash. Harden warrior shaped by endless tragedy who rejects Eywa (Pandora's goddess) following a volcanic tragedy, choosing instead to lead her people through strength, pain, and experience.

zal'kanti was born from the embers of greed, raised as a flame meant to spread. Calm wasn't a feeling she has ever felt in fact being calm was a privilege more seen as weakness, they were meant to cause chaos, the great mother hadn't blessed them with calmness she reeked havoc over their home instead so they promised to spread it until they couldn't. Zal'kanti knew she was raised for purpose she just didn't understand her purpose not when the person who raised her was too obsessed with the power fire gifted her, not when every Navi in her clan steered from her in fear of their tsahik, espically when she was cursed with being stuck with an overly annoying boy who she only saw as a demon. Loak was born from love, love so strong wars were fought to protect everything his clan loved and nutured. Loak wasn't raised in a traditional Navi sense, he had and will always have human ways in him. He was different physically, mentally, even spiritually. Loak never understood if he even had purpose, he knew his brother had purpose, neteyam a warrior at heart; Loak understood that wasn't who he was, he tried his hardest to fight like a warrior but his heart knew it wasn't his purpose. A great heart was a flaw he suffered, espically when he spares the life of a girl who held a great deal of contempt for him.

Her loyalty ventured only to her people, her home, and Varang. When a strange sky man turned up at her village with plans to cover Pandora in flames, how could she say no to being chosen to stand with the great warband to kidnap a lost clan? With the RDA at the side of the Mangkwan, they went a step further than they dared before. They were ruthless. Brutal. They would let no one get in the way of desecrating the very thing that ignored their pain and suffering. Eywa. But once in the Western Frontier, her trust in herself begins to waiver, a feeling she'd never experienced before. Her will to set Eywa's forest ablaze starts to diminish.
