Darrion doesn't remember buying a mannequin. And now he doesn't know where his mother is.

After sneaking into a clothing store at night, a group of friends discover that the mannequins inside are watching them-and replacing them. Nineteen years later, the only survivor returns to the place that stole her friends, only to learn the store was built on a cursed mannequin factory where souls are trapped forever as perfect displays.

A short horror story on how mannequins are made. A myth I had to make for English. Written 11/21/14.

With her parents gone, and her absentee Uncle, Alyx had the large house all to her self. Any 15 year old girl's dream, right? Wrong. Alyx felt utterly alone about 24/7. Yeah sure, she had friends, but there was a hole in her heart that could never be filled. Or so she thought. Cambell was your average cherry red haired, blue eyed, black clothed "freak." Thrown out by his parents, and forced to live on the streets, Cam thought he had hit rock bottom. Starving and frozen, he sat there, wishing for someone to put him out of his misery. Until he met someone that changed him forever. Alyx and Cam both have their own problems to deal with but as Cam's problems become Alyx's, and Alyx's become Cam's, they learn what it's like to be loved, what it's like to have a family. But just because Alyx and Cam have found each other, it doesn't mean that everything's going to be alright again, this isn't a fairy tale, not even close, but having a special person by your side makes it a whole hell of a lot easier.

This is more of a little experiment I started a year ago but never finished. I'm starting off this series of short stories that deal with clinical illnesses and vivid portrayals of them using imagery and metaphors. Enjoy.
