An abusive step father and mother and a fiance turned husband who seemed incapable of standing her but she had to endure everything seeing as he was her escape from the hell she called a home. All in all her life was a mess that she had to endure till her heart would finally fail her.

The story starts where the movie ended. Maria and Robin are growing in their friendship. Maria discovers her responsibilities as the moon princess will be challenging, while Robin has to prepare to be the future leader of the De Noir clan; with each passing day, his responsibilities are growing. Even though Maria returned the pearls to the sea, it seemed as if something was missing. Something also seems off about the forest, it looks okay from afar, but the closer you come to it, the more you realize that something feels unnatural. I do not own any of the characters in the book or movie.
