I wrote this poem in August 2023, days after she fought for her life in my arms. I poured all my pain and thoughts into these words, knowing she has already read them. Though time eases the pain, it never fully fades. But with a hopeful heart, I will see you again.

A survivor and his dog are all that lives in the what used to be one of the most busiest cities of all time. Now it's a ghost town with little efforts to change that, in efforts to stay safe themselves.

Kev and his dog, Chief, arrive in Japan with nothing but a few yen and a history no one would want. They're searching for a fresh start - but the streets of Fukuoka hold more than unfamiliar faces and language barriers. In the quiet alleys and shadowed corners, something else is watching. Struggling to survive in a land that doesn't speak his name, Kev finds work, food, and fleeting shelter. But as strange entities flicker at the edge of his vision, he realizes starting over might come at a cost far greater than he imagined. Howl If You Made It is a gritty, emotional journey through survival, loyalty, and the thin line between reality and the unknown.

A half sea-monster street dog, rumored to have eaten sea monsters all his life, befriends two sea monsters in Portorosso, Italy and is eventually noticed for who he truly is by everyone who resides there. Rated PG for mild death threats and animal abuse.
