Professor Edward Keane has spent his life teaching literature at Havenbrook University. When his student, Tiana Henderson, asks him to review her mystery manuscript, he agrees without hesitation. As Edward reads through the draft, certain details begin to feel uncomfortably familiar, blurring the line between imagination and reality. What begins as a simple review soon becomes something Edward cannot ignore. *** THE FINAL DRAFT: STORIES DON'T FORGET THEIR AUTHORS #OpenNovellaContest2026 #ONC2026 Prompt 109

The Lunar Manuscript There are nights when the world becomes quiet enough for us to hear ourselves. The Lunar Manuscript is written for those nights. This is not simply a book about the moon - it is a journey through silence, solitude, ambition, and awakening. It is for those who have stared at the sky searching for meaning, for those who have felt both small and infinite at the same time. Within these pages, darkness is not an enemy. It is a teacher. The moon becomes a symbol of reflection - of phases, of change, of the quiet power that grows unseen. Through poetic narration and philosophical insight, the manuscript follows an inner transformation: from doubt to clarity, from loneliness to strength, from emotional fragility to quiet determination. This book speaks to: • The dreamers who feel misunderstood • The thinkers who question destiny • The hearts that have endured silence • The minds that carry ambition quietly It does not rush. It does not shout. It unfolds slowly - like moonlight spreading across still water. As you turn each page, you may find pieces of yourself within its reflections. You may recognize your own fears, your own unanswered questions, your own hunger to become something greater. The Lunar Manuscript does not promise easy answers. Instead, it offers awareness. It offers growth. It offers the courage to embrace both darkness and light. And when you reach the final page, you may realize that the journey was never about the moon at all - It was about you.

I had an odd dream that I remembered almost completely. It was so interesting that I decided to base a short novel around it. Keep in mind that this is the manuscript, so it is very rough. I am open to any criticism. Here's the description: Lenni is taking a midday drive to clear her mind of the chaos of life. But when she stumbles (rather, comes) across a rather interesting trailer full of cows, she decides in a split second to follow it. She is led to a house, and little does she know that what's about to happen will change her life for the better.

I found this in a box of papers my dad had tucked away. Seems to be a part of something bigger, maybe part of a manuscript. If this seems familiar to anyone, let me know. The title was part of the header, so I know it's something called "The Silveredleaf Sage", but couldn't find anything online. I'm posting this on here as is. Note: It's taking a bit of time to convert to a digital format, I'm having to type this out by hand. I'm uploading the first chapter that I could find, will upload more as I find
