Honestly: I'm just writing this off the top of my head. I wanted to write something that felt like a mix of The Perks of Being a Wallflower-meets-13 Reasons Why-meets-BoJack Horseman-meets-Beautiful Boy. (Also the cover is from the graduation scene!!)
So: Callum Donovan doesn't care.
At least, that's what he tells himself. Senior year is supposed to be about championships, parties, and keeping up appearances-but Callum's done pretending he's the guy everyone expects. Between leading his football team, skimming through life with a drink in hand, and dodging the kind of attention he's learned to handle, he's perfected the art of staying untouchable.
Then there's River Mossgrove. Brilliant, precise, and infuriatingly aware of everything he tries to hide. She sees right through his carefully built walls, and for the first time, he's not sure he wants her to look away.
As parties get wilder, secrets deepen, and the line between performance and reality blurs, Callum must decide whether staying untouchable is worth missing the one person who might finally see him-and maybe even like him-for who he really is.
