Growing up with a verbally and mentally abusive mother always took a toll on Brynn. Once she was old enough to leave the house and be on her own, she thought she would finally be free of the hold her mother had on her. She was wrong. When her best friend, William Nylander, devises a plan that leads to the two of them getting married, she goes along with it in hopes it would avert her mother for good.
