Hayden Cross knows exactly what he wants. Back from a summer marching DCI, he's craving a well-deserved national win for his band. The Lovell High Marching Knights have been consistently second place in the region since his freshman year, losing by fractions of points to the ever-annoying Merrimack Valley Fightin' Titans. This year they are determined to win, even if it means breaking a few small, insignificant rules. So, Hayden and a few other section leaders sneak into Valley's first home game to spy on their band. It was all going to plan....until they got spotted five minutes in and left Hayden to fend for himself against some really angry Titans. Cameron Miller just wanted a normal year. Fresh off a summer DCI tour with the most annoying percussionist he's ever met, he's ready to enjoy and excel in the Class 1 marching band he loves dearly. He really should have just let the trumpets knock Hayden's lights out. Instead, he dismounted his drum, jumped into Hayden's arms, and kissed him. It was the first thing he thought of, don't blame him! But it was enough to get the band off Hayden's back and gave Valley an in to spy on Lovell, at least according to Cam's brother. But when a fake relationship turns too real, will Cam and Hayden let their fears tear them apart? Or will they find their own true meaning despite their uncertain beginning? Grab your instrument, don't forget your dot sheet, and play like you mean it as romance and rivalry go head to head in the 2022-23 marching season! Warning to readers, "Like You Mean It" contains discussions of transphobia, mental health struggles, and swearing. Read with caution.

Behold the sequel to my mini-novel "The Tragedy of Freddy Walton". You don't need to read the first one to understand this one. Join Derek Joseph, a young inspiring creator of writing and art, on his newest Journey as he nears the end of his high school years. Discover how one changed his entire future. This story is highly involved in the lifestyle of marching band, and deals with a lot of romance. Even if you don't like reading that kind of stuff, there is plenty of things for anyone to enjoy from it. Third book is being planned, look out for "The Human Doll" before the end of 2018. Thanks for your support, and I hope you will continue to follow the series.

There's not a lot that I can summarize this story without giving things away. Warning: This story deals of depression and a little bit of cursing from our angry Pomeranian: Katsuki Bakugou. The lyrics are from Kitchen Sink by Twenty One Pilots (which you all should totally go and check out) and a verse from Truce.

Stoney Nix can play anything, from Beethoven to the Blues, on his old rattletrap piano. It’s just a gift, and a good one. Music is his ticket out of Pinewood, Alabama, his ironic, dying hometown, where they reenact the Civil War but cancel marching band because it’s too small. Then Sadie Green, the hilarious and beautiful new girl (and Stoney’s major crush), convinces him to fight in the fake Civil War battle. What happens there will haunt Stoney forever—and only through voices of the past, struggle, friendship, and his music, will Stoney find himself. A young adult-paranormal-gothic-comedy-romance, The Battle Hymn Blues is a story filled with ghosts and pranks, music and mystery. It’s a love song to the blues we all share, how the past and the future and happiness have the strangest ways of finding you.

Charlotte's senior year of high school is focused on one thing--getting her band to state. Heartbroken and determined, she uses all of her free time practicing and marching. Her past has driven her forward to work. She wanted to make state more than anyone else in the band. Connor is an important part of the band, but he doesn't put quite as much care into marching as Charlotte does. He is a hard worker, but he is more focused on the other values of band--values that Charlotte has long forgotten.
