A poem is like a song only this time, You don't need a melodic voice to sing. Like a blanket it provides coverage and warmth. It may be calm, or the storm And it's commotion, But its sure to bring out some Form of emotion. It gets you to think. Or leave you on the brink off mighty flowing tears. It may make you aware of not only yours But another's fears. A poem is so many things wrapped in one. The longing meanings of a heart's song. Raw and intune.
