The waves crash onto the golden sand, leaving foam on the shore as it pulls back. It is a special day, as a girl, deeply into anything floral, has fulfilled a cherished promise with a ghost. "Life is beautiful, yet so cruel," Ezlyn whispers, as she looks up at the clear, blue sky above. Crystal tears threatening to cascade from her emerald-like orbs. A happy, yet sad smile spread over her thin lips. She walks over to the edge of the salty, deep, blue ocean. "All people are nothing but tools. It doesn't matter how it's done. It doesn't matter what's sacrificed. In this world, winning is everything. As long as I win in the end... That's all that matters..." A strained laugh slips from her lips but, that laugh chokes into a pained cry. She turns round to face her comrades, red streaks going down her cheeks. No one had ever seen her this way, they were completely astounded, confused at how their strongest female soldier had broke right before them. Although she holds unyielding power and excellent resolve, she is shattered on the inside and she's letting that show on the outside. "Ezlyn, no matter what, we will win the next war. We'll... do our best and, you do yours" Levi assures her, as if he were the big brother she never had. "That's right, Ezlyn. We'll win this war and finally get the freedom we deserve. No casualties, I promise." Hange whispers gently, wrapping her arms around the broken soldier. But Ezlyn knows that promise is next to impossible to fulfill. As their bond grows, Eren starts getting an unfamiliar feeling. Little did he know that the feeling was mutual, as Marco feels strange too. Jean and Armin find a way to secretly set them up, but will they realize that the feeling is love?

When Gabriel gets thrust into Rayna's life, it seems as if she will finally learn about the part of herself she has been hiding for years. Gabriel has some pretty interesting friends with interesting names. Hanji, Petra; just what type of names are those? At least Levi is a regular, normal name. After her parents death, Rayna has been transferred to an Orphanage in Colorado, where she meets many new people and goes through a change of a lifetime.
