Loosely based off of my interpretation of the song Roman Holiday by Halsey. (Multiple ships) Bertolt Hoover's life had been rather happy. His family was in tact, his adoptive brother was a good friend of his, and everyone loved him. He had grown up in the church along with his friends and never found himself doing anything wrong. Being one of the nicest people around, him and Marco were given the responsibility to welcome every new student when they arrived. Reiner Braun was a bad kid, and was rather rude to those around him. Bertolt had never been a social person, but Reiner just seemed like he needed a friend. Disclaimers: This story will contain the following; homophobic slurs, the belief system of Christianity, harsh language at times, possibly triggering thoughts or statements, mentions of suicide may occur, there will be sex scenes between two male characters, there may be some actions that could be related to abuse or bullying. Jean Kirschtein has always felt average and out of place-and even the Sorting Hat seemed to get it wrong when it sent him to Gryffindor. This happens right after the death of Marco Bott. Jean's psyche is slowly breaking down as he sinks deeper into depression, until Armin comes along.
