Based off of the Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard. i don't own any of these characters this is just a spin off of Kings cage. Based on Kings Cage, Mare trades her life for Cal and Kilorn. Little does she know she starts to slowly change and do the one thing she swore she wouldn't. Maybe Maven can be helped, he's just a product of his mother and maybe Mare can help.

A Mareven fanfiction, all the characters used in the text belong to Victoria Aveyard. After King Tiberias the sixth is murdered by a scarlet guard operative on the night of the sun shooting, rumours start to fly that Elara was behind the attack, to prove herself innocent she steps down from the throne allowing Cal and Evangeline to take the crown. During the coronation tour Cal, Evangeline and her family are involved in a scarlet guard bombing. With Cal and Evangeline assumed dead, Maven and Mare are left to to take the throne.

After searching for months to find a cure, Mare and Cal finally found someone with the power to eradicate the evil that the Queen had poisoned Maven Calore's mind with.
