There's nothing like summer in the city, especially in New York. After receiving a pleasant invitation from her sister to go visit their father upstate, Angelica arrives to New York City. Frustrated at Alexander not wanting to come along with them, she goes downtown to take care of some things and meets a certain gentleman whom she used to exchange very passionate letters with. In a way of upsetting Hamilton, she decides to bring the man along to acompany her on the trip. The tension between them grows, making them both frightened of what the future will bring and what will happen to them once the summer's over. Meanwhile Hamilton not being able to convince James Madison to cooperate, keeps trying to reach Jefferson with letters, in belief that he's the only one able to convince the congress to vote for his financial plan. Overwhelmed by the stress, he meets Mrs. Maria Reynolds, who brough even more mess to his life.
