After being framed for stealing a Chaos Emerald Sonic is arrested, but after he is rescued by his friends, he teams up with them to to stop Dr. Eggman, who plans to subdue the world with the Eclipse Cannon, a superweapon stored at the Space Colony ARK powered by the emeralds. Meanwhile, after learning that his "dead" grandfather, Gerald, kept a diary about 'The Ultimate Lifeform', Dr. Eggman sets off to find this Ultimate Lifeform, who just so happens to be a black hedgehog named Shadow, but he also finds his grandfather Gerald in the basement, who'd survived solely on his hatred for humanity and desire to destroy Möbius.

Knuckles the Echidna refuses to believe in anything he cannot prove, but when he asks the Master Emerald to prove the existance of God, he gets more than he bargained for. And Commander Shadow desperately tries to find a deciever before it is too late..

Shadow finds himself wandering the corridors of Space Colony Ark, unable to sleep, and he sees a light beneath the door of Maria's bedroom. When he realises that he's not the only one awake at this time of night, he goes in to check on her, and his concern soon turns into a moment of vulnerability. (Non-ship content.)

After being saved then yelled at by her blue hero for being weak, Amy decides to travel alone to improve her strength. Little does she know that there were surprises along her journey. She later meets an old friend of Shadow the hedgehog, a friend of hers, bringing her closer to him. There will be battles, there will be tears, and romance has its part to play.

Rachel is sick, in the hospital. She is probably going to die, but not before Silver's saved. Silver goes to church for Rachel's sake... but will it help? Warning: Strong Christianity reference, don't like, don't read!

He resists her efforts at first, but then he begins to write, and the line between dreams and reality begins to blur. As he continues to transcribe the horrors of his past, present, and future, Shadow realises that the only way to truly escape his nightmares is to wake up and write them down.

Eclipse and his Dark Arms are pulled into a mysterious white void where he feels something he thought he'd never feel again: the presence of other Black Arms. Eclipse struggles with his purpose and longing for family.

Maria only has a limited amount of time to get her brother out of the capsule, and run back home to their friends and family. She doesn't believe she'll be able to make it.
