Shadow remembered a lot about Maria; how she looked when she smiled, how cheerful she was, even in the worst times, even when she was shot in the head. He could never understand how she did it, even when she found out about her uncle's true plan, she still smiled like nothing was wrong. He would always admire that ability of hers'. And now, that ability was passed down to someone new, to someone he was close to. To Sonic's little sidekick, Tails.
