This takes place after the movie. Maria and Robin are friends and explore to woods together but neither families like it. When they realize that they have feelings for each other, horrible truths come up that they need to face together or else they will fall apart. The story starts where the movie ended. Maria and Robin are growing in their friendship. Maria discovers her responsibilities as the moon princess will be challenging, while Robin has to prepare to be the future leader of the De Noir clan; with each passing day, his responsibilities are growing. Even though Maria returned the pearls to the sea, it seemed as if something was missing. Something also seems off about the forest, it looks okay from afar, but the closer you come to it, the more you realize that something feels unnatural.
