What happens when Adrien realizes Marinette, the girl he loved, also held the identity of the girl who hurt him the most?
---
It's summer, and Ladybug and Chat Noir have finally defeated Hawk Moth only to find out that the city's biggest villain was none other than the withdrawn fashion designer, Gabriel Agreste. Adrien finds himself unable to bear his own father being Hawk Moth after losing his mother and hearing his father confess parts of his life he had no idea about. Not to mention the disappointment he felt when he realized Ladybug had kept big secrets from him and the fight they were in. In all the stress Adrien runs away from home, but not before breaking down and revealing himself to Ladybug. Chat Noir turns into the prankster of Paris after being encountered by what seems like a long lost villain, pulling cruel pranks on the people who reminded him of his life's struggles. Marinette, desperate to get her partner back to his usual self, gets closer to the sly kitty as her plain self now that he was avoiding Ladybug. Chat starts to fall in love with the bluenette, forgetting about Ladybug, and his pranks slowly die away. When she gets him to finally open up and return to his usual, charming self, Ladybug meets up with him so she can finally let him know her identity. But what happens when Adrien realizes Marinette, the girl he loved, also held the identity of the girl who hurt him the most?

AN: There are a few things in this book that are different from the actual show, such as the fact that Adrien's mom dies when he's still a baby instead of recently. There are also a couple of new characters and one or two kwamis that I added that aren't included in the show. Marinette and Adrien are 16 in this book. I do not own Miraculous Ladybug or most characters nor the fanart used in some images. All creations of Miraculous Ladybug go to Thomas Astruc, and credit for the characters and images go to the rightful owners. Only the plot is my own.
