The student exchange program for the inhabitants of the continent of Ninji has chosen nine transfer students from Konoha for the program. Three of these Konoha transfer students will make decisions that will change the fate of two continents. Naruto enrolls in the Golden Deer and, for the first time, experiences belonging. He finds himself confused about what he truly wants after meeting Dorothea and Ingrid, and his life changes as he discovers what love is. Hinata enrolls in the Black Eagles and, for the first time, has others believe in her. She finally feels free to pursue her greatest desires without her clan's judgment. Sasuke is reunited with a dear friend he departed from five years ago, and feelings he had buried for years resurface. Byleth Eisner reunites with a friend who doesn't see him as a freak, but he struggles to understand the feelings of love. The house leaders-Dimitri, Claude, and Edelgard-unknowingly impact certain members of the Konoha transfers, changing their lives forever. With two continents, each possessing different cultures, decisions are made that will alter how their new and old friends view the world. This is a rewrite of my original story, "The Black Lion."

Byleth Eisner, for his entire life, has had great difficulty understanding what emotions are like, but he knew one thing for sure: he felt like an outcast, a freak. Between his ability to speak to animals like it's the most natural thing in the world, to being known as the Ashen Demon who kills his enemies ruthlessly and efficiently, those around him both hate and fear him. Lonely and not understanding why, he takes it as normal until a fateful encounter with a sky-blue-haired girl named Marianne, who reminds him of a friend he knew from childhood. Marianne, for her whole life, had felt like a curse and a burden to others. Her greatest fear was her crest and becoming the very thing that she had always feared her ancestor became. Feeling like a curse and a burden, she holds people at arm's length, afraid to befriend anyone, feeling like an outcast and having nowhere to belong. Her only solace is with animals. Not even her childhood friend is able to save her from the loneliness she feels. Things change when she meets the professor of the Black Eagles, who reminds her of her friend Byl from her childhood.

The Konoha 12 are sent to the academy at Garreg Mach in a foreign student exchange program in order to build relations with the people of Fódlan. Hinata would join the Black Eagles and would reconnect with an old friend that she had not seen for 7 years. Her new friends that she would make along the way would change her to be the woman she's always wanted to become and would discover the true meaning of family. Sasuke, on his quest for revenge, would join the Blue Lions, find meaning in life outside of revenge with his new friends and family, and rediscover the meaning of love with a fateful encounter With Mercedes von Martritz a meeting that would change his life forever. Naruto would join the golden deer and would learn what friendship and love truly mean. It would make him question everything that he knows, especially his lifelong goal about wanting to be the Hokage is that truly his desire? Naruto, Sasuke, and Hinata, the decisions that they would make would alter the fate of the 2 continents with a simple decision. This is a crossover between Naruto and fire emblem three houses/three hopes.
