Short story for contest " PLANET OR PLASTIC" by National Geographic This is the story about our ignorance ... which is destroying our planet and our future.... We're polluting our oceans, marine life, beaches, and putting sea creatures at risk... It's really horrible... We are Monster So, In order to save our planet, our future ... we need to wake up before it's too late....

Set in the year 3037, there are only six hundred known squids left in the oceans -- each breed having both a female and a male due to careful preservation techniques. After successfully breeding the last two Vampire Squids, Musham and Liros, scientists noticed something strange begins to happen to Musham. As they continue to keep her under careful observation, she suddenly vanishes. She was 12 at the time, and she regretted her decision to abandon her friends and family. Now, she works as a marine biologist devoted to researching and protecting the marine animals. She strives to save the dolphin and marine animals from the pollution caused by humans. Word Count: 500
