While working underground to fix a water main and when Sonic goes to investigate where Eggman disappeared to, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Tom, Maddie, Mario and his little brother Luigi are transported down a mysterious pipe and wander into a magical new world. But when the brothers and Tom and Maddie are separated, Mario, Sonic, and their new friends embark on an epic quest to find Luigi and Maddie. With the assistance of Mushroom Kingdom resident Toad and some training from the strong-willed ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom, Princess Peach, Mario taps into his own power and Sonic learns new tricks with his powers, the origins of the Chaos Emeralds, the truth about his past, and how he ended up in Longclaw's care. Ailsa Kong is a female humanoid gorilla and Donkey Kong's childhood friend turned wife. She is a princess, known for her sweet, kind, and caring nature. Ailsa despises bullies and stands up against them whenever she encounters them. She is fiercely loyal to Donkey Kong and is deeply in love with him. However, Donkey has a tendency to become jealous when other males are near her or show interest in her, as she values her relationship with Donkey Kong above all else. While Ailsa possesses admirable qualities, she also has a few fears and dislikes. She is afraid of deep water and heights, which can make her uncomfortable in certain situations. Despite these fears, she remains determined and pushes past her limits when necessary. Ailsa's love for Donkey Kong is a central aspect of her character, driving her actions and motivations throughout the story.

⚠️SPOILERS FOR THE MARIO MOVIE IN THE STORY, SO IF YOU HAVENT WATCHED IT AND DON'T WANT IT SPOILED, DON'T READ⚠️ I've fucking had it and I've fallen down the rabbit hole of Super Mario angst, especially for the two bros and Luigi specifically, SO HERE YOU GO! To sum it up, it's just gonna start like the movie but I make a few changes and make it much more depressing, so if you haven't seen the movie I suggest you go watch that first because I'm sure you'll love it. (Also obviously none of the characters belong to me, they either belong to Nintendo or I'm making them up for plot purposes)

After moving out of her crazy ex's place, Y/N lives in Brooklyn NYC with her roommate Sarah. One morning they end up with a sink that won't drain, so Sarah calls "Super Mario Bros Plumbing" to come and fix it. Y/N, annoyed by this inconvenience, is left alone at their apartment while Sarah is at work to deal with the plumbers. Despite her initial bad impression of their business, Y/N finds herself charmed by the Mario Bros. Additionally, she finds herself drawn to the younger brother.
