Closure of knowing that she and her parents can rest well as their killer is six feet down, being slowly decomposed. But she can't get ahead of herself. One step at a time. First order of business being to get back over the line. No more debt. That could take a while, and she doesn't have time to waste. But, even as she works she feels a presence. She can quickly glance and see Runa's beaver, lingering. Watching. Coincidence? Possibly. Kira, however, doesn't want to celebrate the win she got from Yumeko. Yumeko is bound to put a plan into action almost effective immediately. And she has to counter that somehow. Kira has to keep an eye on her, as she's warned Yumeko previously. "I'll be keeping my eye on you." Kira watches her from afar; an action to maintain her position and to ensure the safety of it. Or is it? Maybe that's just what Kira says to herself so she can sleep at night.

At Hyakkaou Private Academy something like this already stenches like tribulation, however Mary could have never envisioned what she would be getting herself into. Upon meeting the considerably attractive Vice President, the blonde girl could immediately tell that that girl was nothing but trouble. It all beginning with that damn eerie mask, which mask was hiding more than just a pretty face and which for some reason invoked an irrational amount of hatred inside Mary. Either way things turn out in a way that the blonde girl can't get rid of the girl who for some reason keeps stiring her up in so many ways. The two repeatedly get thrown into the most obscure, exciting situations that always seem like their entire essence is to test how much trust and closeness they can offer one another, with the constant hazard that this is all just a setup. Only one way to find out. Read "Behind the Mask" by Codowaran. This is a fan-fiction based on the characters by Homura Kawamoto of the hit series "Kakegurui". I don't own most of the characters and part of the story is directly linked to the events of the main franchise. All credited gets rightfully to the original author. However due to not having read the manga and out of creative liberty, plots and characters have been altered to the extend where this work can be called original piece. The story is a love story between Ririka and Mary and is a rather slow burn. This is mostly going to be fluff however there will be some more intense scenes especially in later chapters. In general readers discretion is advised throughout the whole story due to sensible topics like abuse, violence, sexual content and so on. This is supposed to be a «continuation» of bet so this Fanfic takes place right after Riri said «do you want to get out of here?» to Mary. This is of course a romantic wlw fanfic about Mary and Riri from bet, it might include other ships too, but meariri is the main ship here and the story focuses mainly on their relationship and perspectives. That means other characters like Ryan or Michael will be underpriorotized as they don't have much connection with Mary nor Riri. The fic has now included Yumekira as a ship and their pov's are also there to add dept to the story. Yumeko's revenge will to a certain degree be here, as it will affect Meariri too. Remember this is just a fanfic and what is written might not be canon in season 2 of bet. Note: 1st chapter might start off cringe, but trust the process it's all a part of it. 2nd Note: Remember that when it's in a characters pov, we're seeing the actions and perceiving them from their perspective. If the same action would be from another characters pov then the reaction or perception may be totally different as everyone has their own ways of thinking.
