A Les Mis holiday fic (modern au). Inspired by a post I saw on Pinterest. Jean Valjean returns home Christmas Eve to find his house filled with college students. Turns out Cosette's friends needed somewhere to stay for the holidays, and she volunteered her place. Valjean decides that they are all his children now and becomes the Ultimate Dad. Mostly just JVJ interacting with the amis, but also so Enjoltaire and Courferre stuff, as well as a few other ships.

I couldn't answer him. I didn't know what to say to him. I didn't think I could really say anything to him. I did not want to face the facts of what had happened, or the consequences I knew were soon to follow. I just wanted to avoid it all. I wanted to deceive the passion that was burning deep inside of me, and simply forget that any of this had ever happened. I wished to pretend that I hadn't slept with Marius, and betrayed Eponine. I wished that it was Enjolras who I truly loved, and wanted to spend the rest of my life with. But I simply couldn't. You can't deceive passion. No matter how much I had wanted to. I couldn't. Cosette and Eponine come from very different worlds, but when fate brings them together, they discover they have more in common then they thought. When Princess Cosette is captured, Marius brings Eponine in to take her place while he tries to find her. Eponine struggles to pretend to be royalty, and finds herself in even deeper trouble when she starts to fall for King Enjolras, who is supposed to marry Cosette. Everyone who is familiar with the story of Les Miserables is familiar with the tale of Marius Pontmercy and his love Cosette. Their love story is able to cast a tiny glimmer of hope upon the tragic tale. However, what if the origins of their love had not been as bright as written down? Valjean has passed away before the young lovers had yet to lock eyes, leaving the young Cosette alone with feelings of abandonment and depression. Unable to cope with her father's passing on her own, Cosette decides to drown her sorrows in the bittersweet sensation of alcohol. One fateful night, as the pairs of eyes belonging to Marius and Cosette fell upon one another, would their hearts continue to be "full of love"? I did not create the characters, nor the settings used within this plot line. That was Victor Hugo. I did not write the lyrics integrated into this story. That was Alain Boublil and Herbert Kretzmer.
