This is how I imagine Nova and Adrian's relationship would go. It takes place after the first book of the Renegades trilogy so no spoilers about the second and third one but there are no promises as to whether there will be ones from the first one or not. I have a control panel in my brain. It makes me stronger, faster, smarter than the rest. But it also limits me. And when I finally meet my end, it won't be the end I was expecting. I won't die of natural causes, or rusting, or short circuiting, or even being picked on for experimentation. No, my death will be much more tragic. I will be killed by the one thing I fear most. Water.

Princess Selene would never fit in at the ball. Sure, she was one of the most beautiful women on all of Lunar, second only to her dear cousin Princess Winter. And she acted as a princess should. She was able to waltz, knew how to hold herself as royalty should, and never questioned the word of the queen. But her mind was often else where. It was buried beneath the Glamour she would wear when she dressed as a mechanic. It was lost in thoughts of Earth and the people who walked along the blankets of green that covered their land. And it had even managed to fall for the Earthen Emperor Kaito, a man whose charms even she wasn't immune to. Yes, she would look lovely at the ball. She would waltz with her possible suitors and stand regally before the men and women who wished her a happy birthday. But Selene wasn't like other Lunars. And she would never fit in at the ball.
