Just as I opened my mouth to speak a loud bang happened. Suddenly I was thrown forward my head slamming against the incubator. Then I went flying into the wall behind me, the metal wall filled with emergency medical devices. A sickening thud was heard and I could feel blood pouring down my neck. The ambulance lurched to the side and I flew backwards, the last thing I could remember was the feeling of glass cutting into my skin. And then there was silence.

Lexie and Mark broke up, or so Lexie thought. Mark had told her he was leaving for New York. She thought that meant it was over. Mark had other plans. This thought of her's lead her to make some poor chooses. One of these poor choices caused her to have a bundle of what she thought was darkness, but it was what brought Mark and Lexie the light they needed to survive together.
