Shelby and her two best friends Nat and Ashlee travel to Santa Carla for the summer to live with Shelby's cousins. The three expect a normal summer but that changes when they run into a group of vampires and three of them have their eyes on the trio. Lost boys story with my three best friends is all this is. Some chapters will be complet humor and caous and some will be serious.

An imagining of how David, Paul, Dwayne, and Marko got together, became vampires, and formed the Lost Boys. Each chapter is set to the lyrics of a song from the self-titled debut album by the band Audioslave. I would recommend listening to the audio track while reading the chapter, to feel what is conveyed by the specific lyrics woven into the story. Originally published between 2003 and 2004, I got as far as using eight of the fourteen songs before the project was abandoned. As one of my lesser known works based on "The Lost Boys", I ignored it until the sudden and unexpected passing of singer Chris Cornell in May 2017. Dusting it off and giving it a polish, here it is, with minor editorial changes. I now consider it a completed work.
