Amber is an android. A rk800 model. Her and the other rk800 model, Connor, have been sent by Cyberlife to the Detroit Police Department to help with investigations into deviant androids. But something else is brewing in Detroit and something is different with Amber and Connor, something they aren't programmed for.

Donovan works in a facility as a training android for employees. When the fear of deviants grows stronger and stronger, he is thrown out. Donovan goes to Jericho for safety and gets very attached to the leader, Markus..

"I simply led the deviants to the blockade. Markus told me that after he kissed North that the soldiers stood down." "The president said it was because of you that the soldiers stood down. Well, she didn't mention you by name, but she did mention the thousands of Cyberlife androids that followed you being the reason." "I do not believe that is the real reason." "Why do you say that?" Connor paused. "President Warren must have seen Markus and North's kiss, it would have invoked empathy from her." Connor looked directly at Hank, who was looking at Connor thoughtfully. Happiness was this nebulous, dreamlike thing that Simon wasn't as familiar with as he could be. It was something he could see out of the corner of his eye, could reach out and grab if only he didn't blink it away within the next breath, but that elusiveness didn't stop him from wanting it. In order to ensure Markus got just that, for a whole week he conspired with Carl and Leo Manfred to give Markus the surprise of his life, and hoped that, in the end, it brought Markus the joy he so deserves. Simon doesn't realize that he's deserving of it too, but Markus is there to show him the way.

When Simon self destructed by shooting himself in the head, police soon figured out he was no longer useful and was sent back to cyberlife. Markus has requested that he be sent back to him when he was fixed, but soon found out something...

Cyberlife was all for making a profit. And what better way than making androids look like mythical creatures? They built all sorts of humanoid androids, going from merfolk to dragons. All across the country zoos were made for these types of androids, allowing guests to even interact with them. But the treatment of these android creatures were poor, they were just machines after all. And if they started to act out, controlled electric shocks would put them in place. And yet, love blooms between two cage mates. --- This fanfiction is based on a Simarkus roleplay I did with my friend Arty. They roleplayed as Markus while I roleplayed as Simon.
