Marlena Ashmore was born into the family of the Ashmore's, her mother Sybil and her father John. She has a brother and a sister. They are older than her and their names are; Philip and Anna. Years later her mutation came through and her life changes.

Short vignette set in 1999. Marlena muses on the state of her relationship with John.
