Celebrity Jay Tilly has died. Marooned after an ill-fated boating excursion, by the time he was found, little more than bones remained. Discovered along with his body was his journal; a peek into his mind as he faced his last moments.

And if the gods are merciful he will grow up, lead a successful life, and die never once having heard you name or your clan. Perhaps others will think me sentimental, that I am a fool to leave you this message. I believe you need to know that I did this because you are who you are and you will never change. I have plans and ambitions that you are not and will never be in a position to help me obtain. I deserve, my son deserves more. You are only but small means to those ends. You can thank me in your heart that I did not have you tossed out an airlock while we where in transit. But there wasn't time and the system will not allow a living being to be spaced without the proper command codes. If there is anything positive to be taken from this, I have what I want.
