Ransom Drysdale failed college,got kicked out by his mother and is now in desperate need of a job. Luckily his uncle Richard offers him a job as a bodyguard for a young singer, that is under contract with his recording label. Marta is suffering panic attacks while Ransom is angry that for the first time in his life he has to actually work to get by. What happens when these two meet?

Nobody was more surprised by the unexpected pairing than the two involved but, against all odds, Ransom and Dawn fell for each other, and soon enough, she was his. Hook, line and sinner.

OK...so I just saw Knives Out (2019). For the record, it is the best movie EVER. I just kind of shipped Marta and Ransom and also had a different idea in my head for this story. Also, this is my first fanfic so like....I can't promise that it'll be good. None of the characters belong to me.

From then on, it was all a blur to Marta, Meg started crying hysterically, Walt lunged at Ransom but was held back by Eliott, Linda stared,too stunned to speak and Richard poured himself a drink. Ransom is arrested following Harlan Thrombey's death, but what exactly happened that faithful night and how many members of the family are guilty? Their path to uncover the truth forces them to work together and to trust each other. Could this lead to more?

At Harlan's birthday party, Marta insists that she has fun without her. Jennifer reluctantly leaves her side, though it is not long before she finds herself longing for escape. When she does, she befriends Jacob Thrombey and the two of them hear a vital sign that signifies Harlan's death.
