They are helped on their quest by humanity's first successful artificial intelligence, ASTER. An attempt at hard science fiction. Mystery. Something. Basically an unedited one-shot short story for a two-week class I took. Finalist for the 2017 DragonComet Short Story Contest (Young Writers Division).
