Josie Li has always let her dance speak for her. Offstage, she's shy, sarcastic, and utterly convinced that the rumor mill at her performing arts high school is out to make her life harder. So when she finds out she's been paired with Martin Edwards-the school's viral music producer, social butterfly, and all-around golden boy-for the senior showcase, she's certain it's a disaster waiting to happen.
Martin has a reputation for never disappointing anyone-but Josie, with her fierce choreography and guarded heart, throws him completely off balance. Their collaboration starts rocky: she thinks he's arrogant and flippant, he thinks she's adorably intimidating, and neither knows how to bridge the gap.
Late-night studio sessions, playful teasing, and shared creative sparks slowly bring them closer-but just as Josie starts to let him in, a misunderstanding threatens to tear them apart. Now, with the showcase looming, Josie has to decide: will she let fear hold her back, or will she finally take a chance on the boy who's been chasing her heart all along?
This story has two versions of each chapter, one from each characters perspective so the reader can get to know each of them and the dynamics make a little more sense.
