Three years prior to this story, Victoria 'Tori' Bell moves in with her strange and unusual uncle Jim, in order to be closer to her Job. Tori soon met the Goodman's, the nice Jewish family that live a few doors down from her and her uncle, that are quite often visited by Jim, for some weird reason of another. Johnny quickly fell for the girl, she was not what would be expected from Jim's family, but Tori was, in some sense of the word, normal.

Adam, Johnny, and little sister, Stella Goodman, three siblings belonging to an eccentric family, join their parents, Jackie and Martin, for a peaceful dinner every Friday night. However, despite great care, things always turn chaotic.

15 year old Eve was left with no family when her only relative passed away. Feeling emotional about her youngest son moving out Jackie and Martin take Eve in. Johnny doesn't like Eve much as she's shy. While the two create a bond over time or will they never get along?

There is no such thing as a normal dinner in the Goodman household. Martin always has his shirt off because it's "bloody boiling." Brothers Adam and Jonny like to annoy eachother. Neighbour Jim likes to visit a lot and always seems to be getting up to something a little less than normal. Meanwhile Jackie is just trying to keep her strange family under control. So when one of the boys find a girlfriend you can probably understand why he doesn't want her to need his family. Lucy Goodman is the youngest child and the younger sister of Adam and Jonny. She is a lawyer who hasn't spoken to her parents to years after choosing to leave the family behind for a new life. However after reuniting with her parents, something goes drastically wrong. Altering the family dynamic. Forever. This is like Eastenders Lucy Beale's murder meets Friday Night Dinner. I wasn't sure wether to have Lucy as Jonny's sister or as his girlfriend so I decided on his sister instead.

Friday Night at the Goodmans never went smoothly that was until Olivia arrived and they went from bad to worse. Olivia, Jonny and Adam were childhood friends, being the daughter of Jackie's best friend Val, but having not seen Adam and Jonny since they were kids have things changed? and will Friday Night Dinner ever run smoothly?
