This is a poem I wrote in high school about the great Martin Luther King Jr, I was one of the winners who got to read this in a spoken word competition, their might be a video somewhere of me reading this on a stage.

Loriel is just a normal white 13 year old girl.....well not quite. The year is 1961 in Birmingham Alabama. Not a good place for black people to be, especially since your sister is black.......

1963. A year full of misery for the oppressed and segregated blacks. This short story follows one man as he takes part in one of the most symbolic events in all of American history, in a hopeful attempt to finally achieve equality. Originally written for The Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition 2016, but modified from the original, which had to be shortened for word count. Please do not copy this story.

It was the 1960s, it was at the peak of segregation that had gave way to the Civil Rights Movement and lots of the black students were marching. Marlene Katherine Johnson was 17 when she realized she needed a purpose to best fit in with the other black students, her actions led her into a world of gossip, sexual affairs and eventually jail time.

The heart wrenching tale of an everyday girl finding love with an albino man.

I'm unsure where this story's theme and main purpose is at now, having wrote it in middle school, but it was originally a fictional investigation on the true death of Martin Luther King Jr. Again, like some of my other works, this is told in a screenplay format. This is incomplete!

A young woman loses her father in a shooting by the police. After the loss Nebula-Rose and her childhood friend Rooster decide to create a time machine to bring her father back. A malfunction in the machine causes Nebula-Rose and Rooster to get caught in the Harlem Renaissance, the Civil Rights Movement, and the nineties LA riots.

This is a speech I wrote for school with the prompt of Martin Luther King Jr.'s I Have a Dream speech, It's about my dream for no depression. I do not own the image on the cover thank google for that, the in-story image is mine as it is a photo of me taken by me.
