Nic always thought the Marvel Universe was just an escape. Something to binge, scroll through, and dream about while her real life fell apart behind a locked bedroom door. Until one night, it wasn't fiction anymore. Sucked through a portal straight into the first Avengers movie, Nic finds herself face-to-face with heroes she's only ever known through screens, except here, they're real, and they don't know her. Armed with nothing but her memory of the storylines and a sharp mind that Tony Stark definitely underestimates, she's suddenly a glitch in the canon, an unpredictable variable in a world with its own rules. But being "in the know" doesn't mean she's in control. As timelines blur and power begins to change her, Nick realizes that rewriting fate has consequences.
