What do boy bands, vampires, and aliens have in common? Nothing, except they decided to invade this story. Brittani Highwater is supposed to be a character from a teen fiction, romance novel which entices readers with the highschool drama they crave. Unfortunately, due to the unwelcome invasion, she is unknowingly changed into a character from a parody of a fanfiction about a fanfiction of a parody. Nothing makes sense, but the cast willingly goes along with everything. Only Brittani's BFFEWTAR (that's best-friend-forever-even-when-times-are-rough), knows what is really going on. Will she be able to get these characters out of my story? Or will she have to endure all the tropes and cliches of this adultless world as she slowly watches Brittani become a Mary Sue?

Amelia, Destiny, Liara, and Reina are too weird for their town. Maybe it's the time or the setting, but they're just not main character material. They would be background players added for diversity in most old sitcoms. But when a literal Mary Sue comes to town, and sweeps the whole region into a frenzy of tropes and cliches, only these four seem to be immune to her musical numbers, wild scene changes, and dramatic over-reactions. Since the self-named members of the Band exist outside traditional narratives, they might be the most interesting people to modern audiences. Whether because they're queer, fat, aro, ethnically diverse or clinically depressed, they wouldn't be focused on in the past, but only they can save their small town from the ravages of an uncaring plot. *** What if the movies and commercials were right and the world was full of improbable happenings. What if life imitated art? The Mary Sue stories are about a group of people for whom the world rearranges itself. The Mary Sues are dragged along a set series of plots by unknown forces, but those forces are also beholden to them. The real story is that there are some people below the notice of stories. Odd, different, or seemingly unimportant, these four must grapple with the changes the Mary-Sues will wreak on their comfortably mundane small town.

Depending on the fandom, I will give you some of the things you may want to avoid while making a character or the personality of the reader in a reader insert. I hope this will help you, and beware of the Mary Sue.

In which the ever-flawless female protagonist, seemingly lifted from the pages of badly-written internet novels, is sucked through a wormhole and into the dimension us homo sapiens call 'home'. Yes. The twenty-first century of Earth, the blue planet, or as it is called in Mary's homeworld, Terra Caeruleus (we just call it 'the humble chunk of space junk that we reside on'). Mary ends up meeting many of her own kindred, and is put through many a trial. Will our charming Mary survive, and can she ever return to her homeworld? (May contain mild swearing. I'll censor it with * if I remember to. Lol. No guarantees for that, my memory is like a leaky bucket.)

Be prepared as you are about to face the most cliche story on this site. Complete with a self-aware protagonist who is always 100% done with this and bad boy werewolves things are going to get sarcastic. Oh and did I mention the Mary Sue who thinks she is the center of this story?
