Genius inventor Tony Stark is kidnapped and forced to build weapons, but instead builds a suit of armor (Mark I) to escape. Upon returning, he decides to stop building weapons and instead refines his armor to become the superhero Iron Man, confronting his company's corrupt partner, Obadiah Stane (Jeff Bridges).
