Yelena Nye was pretty much born to be the main character, she has that natural pure breathtaking look that makes heads turn when she walks in , everyone also thought she was clueless about her mesmerizing looks. Most importantly, she would be the perfect main character in the cliche good girl x bad boy trope and thats exactly what she has, a bad boy heir CEO who secretly likes her, but is mean to her because he "likes" her But is that what she wants? Does she want the stereotypical non-gentle, bad-boy type of person.. does she really want any of this at ALL? or does she want the woman that blends in, the one who couldn't care less about the girl everyone else is turning heads to?

I looked up at the teacher, my pale face making her jump. I was alive, living and had a family, and had a life in Japan. How foolish. Japan is always the place an anime girl would live in. I was supposed to be something more. I avoided it, denying my happy future because I knew the truth of my story; I was marysue. I denied it so much my heart sank, it would be such a happy ending, Karasuno going to the nationals. But it couldn't work this way. Real winners never skipped to their ending, being all perfect with automatic relationships with characters from an actual anime. So I never wanted to lay an eye on a Karasuno volleyball member ever. No meeting them, no saying sorry to them, or doing anything to them at all. They had to know I never existed, they could go to the nationals without me. "I'm just a marysue. I can be happy this way."
