After being kicked out of her home in Petropavl for failing grades, a Kazakh girl and her younger brother are sent across the border to live with the father they barely know in Russia. What was meant to be a second chance quickly turns into another struggle, as life with their father proves cold, unstable, and far from the home they hoped for. Feeling trapped and searching for meaning, the girl begins to dream of escape. Guided by faith and desperation, she makes a bold decision-to flee westward on a long and uncertain journey to Mecca, hoping to reach the holy land of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), believing that somewhere along that path she might finally find peace, forgiveness, and a place where she truly belongs.
