Queen Aleena had requested Sonic to leave his team and return to the Palace immediately which Sonic couldn't do since his friends didn't even know he was a prince. As if that wasn't enough, the Master Emerald has gone missing and a mysterious new hedgehog has appeared. Following the events of Sonic Adv. 2 and the destruction of ARK, Shadow secludes himself on Angel Island so that he can gather his thoughts. Or so he thinks. His peace is quickly shattered by the arrival of Amy and before he knows it, Shadow is pulled into one of Eggman's schemes. Now he and the Freedom Fighters are in a race against time to save the island, and one of their closest friends. Adventure/Drama/Fluff/Touch of Comedy (A little Shadamy, a liiiittle knuxouge, and maybe a hint of sonamy)

Do Sonic's friends really know Sonic? His past is a mystery to them, well, except for Knuckles, but even then some of Sonic's past is a mystery to him. What really happened to cause the Echidna's to go extinct? Were they as good as Knuckles and Tikal believed? Or did they stray from the good path they were on? When Sonic's Mom Queen Aleena and his siblings Sonia and Manic get captured by Eggman, will Sonic get them back as his normal blue blur self? Or will the other's finally find out about Sonic's struggles. (Things from the first Sonic the Hedgehog Movie, not everything is Canon, Tom and Maddie will be around. After Shadow's death everything went back to normal.Sonic and Eggman's truce ended and he went back to plotting against him.Things are going smoothly...for now.The master emerald is once again shattered and Rouge the bat is on the hunt.But instead of finding the pieces...she finds the suppose to be dead hedgehog.Shadow the hedgehog is back and is receiving weird visions of a very familiar girl.When Rouge alarms the others,things start to go down hill.Dr. Eggman messes with dark unknown energy and causes a corruption with the other emeralds such as the chaos emeralds.Not only that but Shadow senses something is off,and his visions are getting worse.Telling him what's going to happen,as if that girl is right there,showing him the future.While Sonic and his friends try to stop Dr.Eggman,they soon find out whatever he did may be too impossible to stop...But what they don't know is that Shadow has someone telling him most all of the answers.
