After Naomi leaves in the season 3 to sail the ocean Elena starts to feel a little lonely. One day she was wandering around the palace' hallways. She passes the library. The door was ajar. She found Mateo there, scribbling something in the books. ...then her dress suddenly changed color to pink. Elena looked at herself first, then raised her head in confusion. Mateo responded with silence and the same bewilderment.

When a twisted crown prince, who had killed Mateo's father comes to Avalor for (Newly-Appointed) Queen Elena's Hand in marriage. Mateo sets off to kill him but when Elena defends the crown prince, Mateo thinks that Elena chose the prince over him. Heartbroken, He runs away from Avalor with his new sister Olivia and his mother Rafa, Meanwhile in Avalor the prince, with his twisted ways takes over the kingdom and Elena realizes that only a certain Master Wizard can help them. Will Mateo get the news ?? Will he come back ?? And.. Will Elena and Mateo realize their love for each other ?? Stay TUNED !! I don't own any characters except Diego

This story is probably too all over the place to give a proper description but I will try to anyway. Six regular citizens are randomly captured by the EVIL WIZARD and taken to the Elena of Avalor world. Now their mission is to try their best to escape and return to their normal lives again. A curse has been cast on Avalor. The world has been turned upside down. Elena is no longer a queen, at least she doesn't remember it. She lives her simple life with her grandparents and younger sister. She has no memory of her friendship with Naomi and Gabe, or of her relationship with Mateo. In the time line I came up with Elena and Mateo got together back in the season 3. Maybe someday I'll write about that too. This fanfic is a continuation of my previous work, "Elena and Mateo: A New Journey," but it won't interfere with understanding the events here. The only important thing to know is that Elena and Mateo are a couple, and she's learned to control her emotional magic.
