A Shirbert Soulmate AU, still set in the late 1800s. On your 16th birthday, at the exact time you were born, a vision starts, depicting your soulmate. Anne Shirley-Cuthbert is an orphan who has been taken in by unmarried siblings Matthew and Marilla. She moved to Avonlea at age 13, and has been dreaming of her 16th birthday ever since she heard about soulmates. Gilbert Blythe had a large family at first. Now he is left with nothing but his weakening father. He has been living in Avonlea for a very long time, and has never paid much attention to soulmates. Until the day he meets a certain girl with bright red hair and a knack for getting into trouble.

Because a lot of people weren't watching it until January, I made this book so I (and other people in the comments) could talk about season 3 without spoiling it for other people. I also put random songs I like at the top of each chapter, just for fun.

Finally, they reunite, but not in the way either of them expected: on a boat full of ruthless pirates. (disclaimer: sorry i actually hate myself for writing this and probably no one will like it lol rip i know this is probably really stupid sorryyyy) (very inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean lol)

In which a girl flirts with Gilbert at a party and Anne decides to have a little fun. Anne is scared that the people she loves most will eventually leave her; Gilbert shows her that he will always come home. Five times Anne wasn't sure and one time she was.
