Sofie får sit drømmejob som fysioterapeut på cykelholdet Lidl-Trek. Hendes arbejde er at hjælpe rytterne med at komme igennem de hårde etaper, behandle skader og sørge for, at holdet er klar til næste dags kamp på cyklen. Men allerede på sin første store løbsdag møder hun en rytter, hun ikke har set i mange år: Mattias Skjelmose, drengen hun cyklede med som barn. Mens løbet bliver mere og mere intenst, rammer et voldsomt styrt holdet, og en af rytterne må på hospitalet. Beaten and seeking revenge as well as peace she is thrown into the Great War as she has never seen it before. And her only guide and companion she has to navigate the nightmare with her is just as broken as she is. And that is all before some soldiers decide to go missing...
