In the summer of 1962, Lily and Summer fall in love and keep their relationship a secret. After a big fight about hiding who they are, they stop talking to each other. Later, they see each other again at school, and things are awkward between them. When a dangerous monster starts causing trouble, Lily and Summer have to work together with their friends. While fighting the monster, they also have to face their past and decide if they still care about each other.
