Matured: a short dystopian story 2789-76 is a girl who lives in a society where girls are raised and taught to be the perfect women they are supposed to be. '76, just like all of the other girls in her community, is controlled in every single aspect of her life, from her diet to her behavior, and even her daily activities. This year, she is turning 16- which means she is about to take part in the Maturing Ceremony with all the other girls her age. '76 is excited to finally be a full-grown woman, but when she attends the Ceremony and the moment for her to Mature comes nearer and nearer, she realizes that Maturing is not what she thought it would be.
