my own personal sequel to the 2020 Hunger Games prequel "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" by Suzanne Collins. Maude Ivory is all grown up and teaching music at District 12's school when Tam Amber warns her about the 25th annual Hunger Games, which could endanger everyone including Vox Valentine, a student she deeply cares about, and the life she is carrying in her womb - Katniss Everdeen's father.

Destined to be a Career tribute, Mallory shadows her brother during training. But she feels as though something else intrigues her in the arena. Or maybe someone... Ash Greyblade has somehow convinced the Capitol to let him volunteer for his younger sister Yvonne, even though it is against the rules for a male volunteer to take a female tribute's place. He is cocky and impolite, with a hatred for the richer districts. Except for one. No matter how much he tries to hide it. Join Ash and Mallory in the arena of a ruined city, a forbidden love, and the constant feeling of doom underneath each step you take.
